Reducing Employees’ Workload and Focusing on Results: CM Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has once again reaffirmed his strong resolve to transform governance in Andhra Pradesh by making technology a primary tool. He stressed the need to reduce the workload on field-level employees while implementing result-oriented governance, and issued clear instructions to officials to make extensive use of technology to achieve this goal.

During a review meeting on the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) with officials from various departments at the camp office, the Chief Minister made several key observations. He said that wherever there are shortcomings in governance, the focus should be on training and continuous monitoring rather than punishment. Such an approach, he noted, would enhance quality, speed, and transparency in the system.

2026 – The Year of Technology-Driven Decision Making

The Chief Minister announced that the government aims to make 2026 the “Year of Technology-Driven Decision Making.” He said systems should be developed so that all government decisions are based on data and technological analysis. Emphasizing the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in government services, he directed officials to use AI to ensure faster resolution of public grievances and complaints.

Focus on Data-Driven Governance

The Chief Minister stated that the government will place greater emphasis on data-driven governance going forward. He said mechanisms should be in place to assess the performance of every department in real time. In this context, officials informed him that ‘Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance’ services have become increasingly crucial. At present, 878 government services are being delivered through this platform, and 1.43 crore citizens have already availed themselves of these services. Officials said this reflects the growing public trust in digital governance.

Review of Key Departments

Following the RTGS review, the Chief Minister closely examined the performance of key departments including Health, Agriculture, Revenue, Roads, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), and the Fire Services Department. He sought detailed information on the extent of technology adoption in each department and the speed of service delivery. He made it clear that there should be no delays or negligence in these departments, which have a direct impact on the public.

A New Direction in Governance

Overall, this review can be seen as a clear roadmap for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to transform Andhra Pradesh’s administration into a technology-driven, results-oriented governance system. By reducing the workload on employees and ensuring faster, more efficient public services, these initiatives are being viewed by political and administrative circles as the beginning of a new chapter in the state’s governance.
