
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazeer stated that the state is taking firm steps towards achieving the Swarna Andhra @2047 vision by integrating development, welfare, and technology. On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, the Governor unfurled the national flag for the first time in Amaravati and addressed the people of the state.
Calling the celebration of Republic Day in Amaravati for the first time a historic moment, the Governor said that the state government is overcoming the uncertainty and economic instability that affected capital development in recent years and is restoring stability. He noted that the government is taking decisive steps to regain investor confidence.

The Governor explained that a ten-point policy framework is being implemented to guide state governance. The key objectives include poverty eradication, employment generation, population management, water security, farmer welfare, infrastructure development, reduction in power costs, industrial growth, cleanliness and safety, and technology-driven governance.
Under the NTR Bharosa scheme, a monthly pension of ₹4,000—the highest in the country is being provided, with enhanced pensions for persons with disabilities and dialysis patients. Through the Deepam 2.0 scheme, three free LPG cylinders per year are being supplied to poor families. He said women’s free bus travel has significantly increased their mobility. Under the Yuva Galam program, the government aims to create 20 lakh jobs over five years. He added that large-scale employment will be generated through Mega DSC teacher recruitments, police appointments, the Green Hydrogen Valley, and major industrial investments.

The Governor said the Polavaram Project is targeted for completion by 2027, and projects such as Handri Neeva and Veligonda are ensuring irrigation security for Rayalaseema. Integrated water management has improved groundwater levels. Under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, farmers receive ₹20,000 annually, and thousands of crores are being spent on crop price stabilization. Andhra Pradesh, he said, ranks among the top states in horticulture, fisheries, and animal husbandry.
He noted that Visakhapatnam is being developed as an economic hub, with approvals granted for Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Metro Rail projects. With new ports and airports, Andhra Pradesh is being shaped into a logistics hub. The state continues to hold the number one position in Ease of Doing Business. Smart governance initiatives such as a Quantum Valley in Amaravati, a Drone City in Orvakal (Kurnool), and ‘Mana Mitra’ which delivers government services through WhatsApp are being implemented.
Governor Abdul Nazeer emphasized that the government’s goal is to uphold democratic values and the spirit of the Constitution while ensuring dignity, opportunities, and justice for every citizen. He called upon everyone to work together to build a healthy, prosperous, and happy Andhra Pradesh.
