Guntur: TDP leader Dhulipalla Narendra said that the Yuvagalam Padayatra, led by Minister Nara Lokesh, has rewritten the political history of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at the Yuvagalam Padayatra celebrations held at the Ponnuru Assembly Constituency office in Guntur, he said the padayatra played a decisive role in ending what he described as the “authoritarian rule” of the YSR Congress Party.
Dhulipalla Narendra stated that the Yuvagalam Padayatra, which successfully covered the distance from Kuppam to Srikakulam, was completed despite several restrictions imposed by the then government through the police machinery. He said the success of the padayatra reflected the people’s strong support and faith in Nara Lokesh’s leadership.
He said the padayatra effectively exposed the alleged statewide corruption and misrule of YSRCP leaders and explained to the public, region by region, the development that each area had lost during the previous government’s tenure. According to him, Nara Lokesh emerged as a strong voice for people who suffered hardships under the YSRCP regime.
Highlighting the impact of the padayatra on youth, Dhulipalla Narendra said Yuvagalam awakened the dormant energy among young people and inspired them to actively participate in shaping the future of the state. He added that Nara Lokesh has been steadily fulfilling the promises made during the padayatra.
As a minister, Nara Lokesh has introduced several new reforms in the education sector, taking concrete steps to strengthen and modernise the system, he said. He also noted that companies which had left the state during the previous government due to alleged harassment and misrule by YSRCP leaders are now being brought back.
Praising Lokesh’s efforts to attract investments, Dhulipalla Narendra said that he has succeeded in bringing in investments worth several lakh crore rupees, providing direction and employment opportunities for the youth of Andhra Pradesh.
